Description
QFSC is a non-profit organization governed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors. The club's philosophy is to bring fun, fitness and achievement to all skaters in our programs.
The skating club offers a variety of "Learn to Skate" programs for ages three and up, in addition to figure skating programs, for new and experienced skaters. The CanSkate program will teach skaters the skills they need for.... hockey, power skating, figure skating, speed skating or just for fun. STARSkate offer skaters, who have completed the Canskate program, the opportunity to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skills, free skating and interpretive skating. Our top quality programs are taught by a team of professional Skate Canada certified coaches lead by head coach Nicole Marr Woods.
QFSC's season operates from October to March with all programs being held at the Quispamsis Memorial Arena. The club offers a two day per week program for Pre-Canskate and Canskate on Mondays and Fridays as well as a one day program on Saturdays. The days and times for the STARSkate (figure skating) sessions vary depending on the level of the program.
